Get back to training — with a coach who knows what you've been through.
Injury. Surgery. Years away. Whatever brought you here, Fulcrum's Return to Fitness program meets you exactly where you are and builds you back stronger.
Talk to a Coach About Your Situation →Here's what we keep hearing
"I used to be active, but it's been years and I don't know where to start."
"I have an old injury and I'm afraid I'll make it worse."
"I tried a group class and felt completely lost."
"I want to get stronger but I don't trust my body right now."
Every one of these is exactly why Return to Fitness exists. Not as a penalty for where you are. As a smarter starting point — one that meets you where you actually are and builds you up from there.
What makes this different
RTF isn't a watered-down version of our other programs. It's the most personalized thing we offer.
100% customized to you
Your program is designed around your body, your history, and your concerns. Not a template. Not a one-size-fits-all workout scaled down. Built for you.
Injury-aware from day one
We start with an assessment that identifies old injuries, movement concerns, and areas of risk. Every exercise is chosen to keep you safe and build confidence — not test your limits.
Your pace, not ours
Some people progress quickly. Some need more time. There's no schedule to keep up with and no pressure to move faster than your body is ready for.
Education, not just exercise
You learn the fundamentals of movement and how your body actually works. The goal isn't just to work out — it's to understand why you're doing what you're doing so you can trust the process.
Small group, real attention
Six people maximum. Your coach knows everyone's name, history, and what they're working on. You're never invisible and you're never on your own.
Confidence is the real outcome
Strength matters, but so does feeling capable. RTF builds both — the physical ability and the belief that you can do this. That's what empowerment actually looks like.
Already done PT? Good. RTF is what comes next.
Physical therapy gets you functional. Return to Fitness gets you strong. Our coaches work from your discharge notes, coordinate with your medical team when needed, and build programming that takes you further than PT was designed to.
You don't have to stop at "cleared for activity." That's the beginning — not the destination. RTF is where you build the strength, movement quality, and confidence to actually stay there.

Talk to a Coach About Your Situation →RTF might be right for you if...
-
→
You haven't exercised in years and the idea of jumping into a group class feels overwhelming — or honestly, a little scary.
-
→
You're recovering from an injury or surgery and you need a program that works around your limitations, not one that ignores them.
-
→
You've finished physical therapy and you're cleared to train — but nobody told you what to do next or how to do it safely on your own.
-
→
You want to build strength but your body doesn't move the way it used to and you need someone who actually understands that.
-
→
You tried a gym before and it didn't work — not because you weren't motivated, but because the program wasn't built for where you were.
"I joined while dealing with a shoulder injury. I doubted if I could ever get back into shape, but this gym put me on the right track again."
How it works
Small enough that your coach can watch every rep and adjust in real time.
RTF is structured in blocks so you can see real progress before committing further. Your coach tracks everything between sessions.
No clock, no pressure to rush your foundation. Graduate to the next program when you're actually ready — not when a calendar says so.
Your RTF coaches
Return to Fitness is led by Master Coaches with deep specializations in biomechanics, rehabilitation, and behavior change — the people you actually want in the room when you're starting over.
Ian Rubin
Ian led the committee that developed the Return to Fitness program guidelines, drawing on his experience founding his own gym and his dual Master Coach specializations. He's also the creator of Food Story, Fulcrum's approach to nourishment. The RTF coaches use Ian's framework to design individualized workouts for every session — combining structured guidelines with real-time coaching.
Eric Plevin
Specializes in sustainable movement and rewiring how people move — adapting to all ages, fitness levels, and injury histories.
Roseanna Meuser
20+ years in massage therapy and holistic health. A body-aware approach to training that's perfect for anyone returning to movement.
RJ Brunoff
Focused on building a sustainable mindset alongside physical fitness — helping clients change how they think about training, not just how they train.
Where this leads
RTF isn't a permanent program. It's a launchpad.
Return to Fitness
Close coaching, fully customized, learning the fundamentals. You build a foundation of safe movement, basic strength, and the confidence to trust your body again.
Small Group Training
Groups of 4, focused on progressive loading and barbell technique. You already know how to move well — now you learn how to get strong. The coaching is still hands-on, but you need less customization.
Team Training
Up to 20 people, one coach, workouts built on our Matrix system. You know how to adapt the programming to your body. You train with confidence, alongside a community. And the investment decreases — because you've built the foundation to train independently.
