What is your favorite part about being a personal trainer?

Being around people who are improving themselves and are into physical hobbies, sports and health and well-being.

What are your favorite personal activities and hobbies?

My favorite activities are hiking to alpine lakes in wilderness areas, traditional martial arts training and movement, qi gong, gardening and walking.

What inspired you to get involved in health as a personal trainer?

I wanted to change careers and because I have had great mind and body health benefits from exercise. I feel my best during a good workout. I thought I could bring that as a trainer through my fitness experience. I get in my zone exercising outside, my mind clears and I like the focus that leaves all my problems behind. In Shaolin training it is a Zen meditation through movement, to me, that feels the best.

What is your biggest goal with your client as their trainer?

I want them to get a connection to their body and mind that feels really good to them. Not just to exercise as another chore, but to feel it and enjoy it. I want them to challenge themselves and get healthier and fitter without overdoing it. I want them to see and feel that they are achieving their goals in fitness.
